Anne Drouet

Anne Drouet

Director of Performing Arts

Hailing from the UK, Ms. Drouet graduated with a BSc Honors in Music from City University with piano studies at the London Guildhall School of Music. She has taught Music and Musical Theatre for over 19 years internationally and in the UK. Under her artiste name of Anne Wu, Ms. Drouet has composed for Weinstein Films, the International Labour Organisation and for performing arts festivals and theatre projects in the international school community. She is an IB Diploma Music Examiner and a Member Practitioner for International Schools Theatre Association, ISTA. Ms. Drouet has enjoyed teaching students from different cultures and musical abilities, from students who were complete beginners to the young Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis.

John Cucinello

John Cucinello

Director of Community and Service

Mr. Cucinello was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1956. He received a BA in English Literature from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 1981 and a Masters of Science in Education (reading) in 1994 from Long Island University . He has taught in the Bronx Public Schools for 11 years, and Yonkers, New York (5) years as well as (2) years in Saudi Arabia. John has PYP, DP and MYP experience. John speaks Spanish and English and has worked as a professional storyteller performing oral retellings of Homer’s The Odyssey.
Stephen Walker

Stephen Walker

Director of Sport

Stephen is originally from the UK, where he played professional football for Portsmouth F.C until he was 15 years old, Stephen graduated Colchester University with a degree in sport science and coaching. After coaching in schools in the U.K, he decided to move to Shanghai and having taught and coached in most of the International schools around Shanghai he has now settled into his role as Director of Sport at WISS. When Mr. Walker is not teaching P.E you can find him trying to play football.

Liz Jones

Liz Jones

Director of Visual Arts

Liz Jones is from the UK. She has taught in China for over 5 years covering the entire IB programme during that time and adores the diversity that international teaching affords. Liz started her teaching career in New Zealand, which is where she lived for 7 years. This career has subsequently taken her to Europe and Asia. Her loves include theatre, cycling, picture books, IT, travel and of course her family who are all here at WISS. Liz gained an Honours Degree in Jewelry with a subsidiary in Constructed Textiles some years ago. She is an effervescent character who never has colour far away from her!
