WISS Joins Global Alliance For Innovative Learning Conference

At the Western International School of Shanghai (WISS), the importance of embracing diverse cultures is deeply ingrained in our educational philosophy. The Global Alliance for Innovative Learning (GAIL) is a prestigious international organization comprising eight exceptional schools from around the world. These schools, including the Western International School of Shanghai (WISS), Kimbal Union Academy (United States), Newton College (Peru), Robert Gordon’s College (United Kingdom), Kristin School (New Zealand), Prestige College (South Africa), Scotch College (Australia), and Woodstock School (India) are committed to promoting innovation, fostering cultural understanding, and embracing diversity in education. As one of the founding member schools, WISS is proud to participate in the upcoming GAIL Students and Heads of School conferences in Auckland, New Zealand, where students and educators will collaborate on advancing global innovation and reinforcing student leadership.

Advancing Global Innovation and Student Leadership

The GAIL conferences provide a unique platform for member schools, educators, and students to exchange ideas, explore innovative practices, and shape the future of global education. This year, WISS students, accompanied by Timothy Pyeon, Director of Academics and Innovation, and Nwanneka Okwuosa, Design Teacher, will actively engage with students from other GAIL member schools to reinforce the importance of student leadership in schools. Among the highlights is the Heads of School GAIL Conference, bringing together esteemed Heads of School from all member institutions.
